SKY ARTS FUTURE FUND PORTFOLIO

7 visual/audio examples of my own poetry work which will inform the style and tone of THE POETRY TAKEOVER, but will include work from many UK poets.

One example of hundreds from my Pop Up Poetry collection. Items such as this would be used as part of the Permanent Exhibition and also form part of the poetry teaching in the workshops.
This is the poem which sparked the idea for THE POETRY TAKEOVER, due to the mainstream and TV response. Hundreds of people contacted me to say they never even knew such poetry existed and they wanted to know where they could find more.
This is from the 'little poem' collection. Under 1 minute and using word art and visual art/collage to extend poetry's reach and creativity. These videos would be recreated in high quality and in greater numbers for The Poetry Takeover DVD Collection.
This video shows the possibility for TV format as some of it is filmed during a live stage performance, some is filmed in a studio. This could also be an example of film for the DVD.
This is another example of one of my popular poems, taking a fairytale and turning it into a modern urban story with a simple film. Poems that tell stories over 4-5 minutes from a range of artists would feature on The Poetry Takeover DVD collection and help inform format for the TV show.
Part of the 'a little poem' collection. These would also inform some of the art work for the Permanent Exhibition.
Filmed professionally for the charity EQUALS, this poem went on to be the starting point for my poetry theatre show, Dry Ice.
